MELBOURNE STORM COACHES VISIT
ASTON BULLS
Craig Bellamy, the Head Coach of the NRL Melbourne Storm and also NSW State of Origin Head Coach met with the Aston Bulls RLFC along with his assistant coach Michael Maguire and spent a few days in Philadelphia as part of a two week long visit to America to check out the systems of professional sports teams around the country.

Whilst in Philadelphia the Storm coaches spent time with Mo Cheeks and the Philadelphia 76ers NBA club and also the Philadelphia Flyers NHL team. Prior to stopping in to visit the Aston Bulls, the coaches visited the New York Jets and Giants NFL organizations. They will be on the sideline for Monday Night Football as guests of the Denver Broncos against the Patriots in Boston before heading west to spend time with UCLA, USC and the San Francisco 49ers football teams.

A new American National Rugby League champion has been crowned and it is the New Haven Warriors.
The club, which is just three years old, beat the league’s powerhouse team Aston Bulls 50-18 in Saturday’s Grand Final at the Fort Dix military base in New Jersey.

AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN POLICE BRING A GAME TO AMNRL GRAND FINAL XI
The Auckland Metropolitan Police were too strong for an AMNRL ALLSTAR Squad in the curtain raiser for the Grand Final at Fort Dix. Whilst the Allstar Squad had plenty of opportunities to score points it was the Police team that had the better of the scoreboard and the run of play for much of the game.

The two unbeaten teams from the 2008 AMNRL Club Competition have qualified for American National Rugby League Grand Final XI. The Aston Bulls with a perfect 8-0 record will take on the New Haven Warriors who also have a perfect record of 8-0. For the Bulls it will be their eleventh consecutive appearance on the Cup Final Day, while the New Haven Warriors will be taking their first shot at the National Championship Title in only their third season in the competition.
