First Item i completed was sanding all the small knobs left behind from the Mold.
Then i attached the Bow section and confirmed alignment. Once it was all aligned i glued the section in placed and tightly screwed the section counter sunk screws.
I then used putty to fill any seam gaps i could find and sanded smooth.
Hint using a small amount of nail polish remover helped in removing the extra putty before drying allowing sanding time to be greatly reduced.
This next image is displaying the hull with the bow attached.
The next 2 images are displaying the Removal of the Hanger Deck door that is molded into the hull preventing an opening to the Hanger Deck. Since i wish to scratch build the Hanger Deck this section had to be removed.
With this section now removed i can move onto planning and researching the Hanger deck . Hanger Deck Walls Floor and Ceiling:
Stage 1: Construction was made from 40,000 plastic white in color, Structure was cut and glued into place using 5 minute Glue and Putty was used to fill the gaps. The End section is not completed yet as i wanted an open area to allow easy sanding. In the next step i will fill the remaining section with a pre cut and sanded peaces that will complete the hangerdeck base.
Side view of the hull as you can see it still needs a little shaping and sanding to be completed on the openings. I used a second wall sheet cut to size to match the openings seen on the real carrier and back filled with putty allowing me to shape it correctly.
