New Zealand ran in 10 tries as they crushed Tonga 56-8 in their final warm-up game before the World Cup.
Jerome Ropati scored three tries while Jason Nightingale and Benji Marshall weighed in with two each in Auckland.
"We're reasonably happy but there are still one or two things we can work on," said Kiwi captain Jeremy Smith, whose side led 22-0 at half-time.
Smith took over as captain when St Helens prop Nathan Cayless was ruled out of the match with injury.
New Zealand open their World Cup campaign against hosts Australia on 26 October before facing Pool A rivals Papua New Guinea (1 November) and England (8 November). _________________
