With more than 40 per cent of Australian men over the age of 40 suffering serious health problems, Jenny Craig Australia calls on males to speak up and take ownership of their own health.
“It is a fact that female life expectancy is 5 years more than males, says Professor Kerryn Phelps, Medical spokesperson for Jenny Craig, “and its time Aussie males paid some attention to the factors that impact on their health.”
“Men often set aside their health as a priority until a problem has developed. Many of the health risks men face can often be prevented or successfully treated with early detection.
“As men are less likely to discuss their emotions, mental health issues such as depression can be difficult to detect and diagnose, which can lead to severe ongoing health problems.
“Lifestyle choices play a major factor in the state of men’s health. Issues such as poor diet, lack of exercise, smoking and alcohol abuse along with a delay in response to illnesses all contribute to major health consequences.
“It is important for men to bridge the gap and be more attentive to changes in their health and overall well being. Simple changes to lifestyle through diet and exercise can make a big difference.
Jenny Craig aims to raise awareness of men’s health issues and to urge them to receive regular checks in order to buck the trend of Australian men turning their backs on health.
“Health problems such as overweight and obesity, which contribute to heart disease, mental health issues (particularly depression) and cancer are major concerns which contribute to the most significant health problems of Australian men.” _________________

Follow this advice and we may not live forever but it will seem like it.
If looks, feels, or tastes good its either immoral, illegal, or fattening.
