Sportingbet Australia punters are poised to invest some of their Samantha Miss winnings on Greg Eurell trained champion sprinter Apache Cat in tomorrow’s Patinack Farm Classic at Flemington.
Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said punters had already backed the Cat in from $1.85 to $1.80 and he was expecting a solid stream of money.
“Our punters have backed Apache Cat to the exclusion of all other runners,” said Sullivan.
“By the time they jump we’re expecting one of our biggest stands of the carnival.”
Sullivan said he was prepared to take the favourite on.
“Apache Cat is the proven WFA performer in this field,” Sullivan said.
“However we’ll be pinning our hopes on the up and comers like Sunburnt Land and Triple Honour, which at least has some strong WFA form to its credit.”
