An Australian golf management company has been appointed to operate the
world-class golf course planned for the $180 million Musselroe Bay development
in Tasmania's north-east.
Bon Golf is based in Melbourne and operates golf courses around the world.
Work on the course at the Musselroe Bay Resort is due to begin later in the
year and the developers hope it will rate in Australia's top ten.
Bon Golf's managing director, Michael Ryle, expects the course will attract
golfers from all over the world.
"The experience at Barnbougle, which isn't too far away, has done an
excellent job of putting Tasmania on the map in terms of a golf destination," Mr
Ryle said.
"Musselroe Bay is equally going to be as good as that, and will add to
interest around the world in golf in Tasmania."
