Former Bullets coach Brian Kerle says he still hopes the Brisbane club will
not be forced down the same path as the Sydney Kings.
The National Basketball League today terminated Sydney's licence, after the
club's owner failed to pay some of its players.
The Bullets need to find a new owner by the end of the month to remain in the
League and Kerle admits it will be tough to meet the NBL's deadline.
"There's a group of us talking, trying to put something together, trying to
revise the budget, trying to revise sa number of things," he said.
"So we can just survive and stay in the League and it really is just a matter
of survival now."
In late May a consortium led by businessman David Kemp pulled out of a deal
to buy the Bullets, giving owner Eddie Groves until June 30 to find a new buyer.
