Tampa Bay Buccaneers Down Carolina Panthers

NFL Jeff Garcia was15/20 passing for 173 yards and a touchdown, Warrick Dunn rushed for 115 yards on 22 carries and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2) picked off Carolina Panthers (4-2) quarterback Jake Delhomme three times and blocked punt for a touchdown in a 27-3 blasting on Sunday.

It was the blocked punt in the first quarter that got the Bucs on the board first as Geno Hayes rumbled 22 yards after recovering the block for the touchdown and a 7-0 advantage. Garcia then boosted the lead to 14-0 when he found Alex Smith on a 2-yard toss.

John Kasay kicked a 20-yard field goal for Panthers early in the second quarter but Matt Bryant answered with a 37-yard field goal and Tampa went into the half in front 17-3.

Bryant added a 49-yard field goal in the third quarter and Ernest Graham had a one-yard TD run in the fourth to close out the scoring. With Warrick Dunn in the backfield Tampa dominated the clock as they held a nine-minute advantage over the Panthers who managed just 40 yards rushing on 20 attempts.
