MELBOURNE CUP - $810,000 TO LOSE ON YELLOWSTONE

Racing A BETSTAR punter has taken a bet of $810,000 to $10,000 on English Stayer Yellowstone. The Jane Chapple-Hyam trained galloper is expected to hit the track today in preparation for his Melbourne Cup debut with his track rider giving assurances that the horse had handled the trip with a minimum of fuss. It will pay to forgive his last start where he was beaten by 54 lengths by the current international elect Septimus in the Irish St Ledger. Prior to this he ran a solid third behind All the Good in the Newburgh Handicap, which is a re-run of the Ebor- giving him approximately 4kg. He is a winner over 2800m so the 3200m should prove no problem and with this sort of money around the English raider is not here for a holiday in the sun. Yellowstone and All the Good are currently $41.00, Profound Beauty is $15.00 and the Irish stayer Septimus is equal second favourite with Littorio at $7.50.

In other betting news BETSTAR have taken $20,000 at odds of $6.00 on Samantha Miss in the Cox Plate. She has now firmed into $5.00, Weekend Hussler is equal favourite with Princess Coup at $4.40
