Drew Brees Torches Oakland Raiders

NFL Drew Brees was 26/30 passing for 320 yards and three touchdowns, Reggie Bush had a touchdown reception as well as a rushing TD and the New Orleans Saints (3-3) defense limited the Oakland Raiders (1-4) offense to just 226 yards in a 34-3 blowout on Sunday.

Oakland’s three points came in the first quarter as Sebastian Janikowski gave the Raiders a 3-0 lead but New Orleans shut the Raiders down the rest of the afternoon. It was Bush who got the Saints on the board in the second quarter with a 3-yard TD run and Taylor Mehlhaff booted a 44-yard field goal for a 10-3 lead at halftime.

Brees then threw a pair of touchdowns in the second quarter, an 8-yarder to Aaron Stecker and a 15-yarder to Bush to boost the advantage to 24-3. Mehlhaff connected on a 33-yard field goal early in the fourth and Brees found Mark Campbell on a 2-yard toss to cap the scoring for the Saints.

New Orleans forced two turnovers in the game and held the ball for nearly 13 more minutes than the Raiders.
