Seve Ballesteros Diagnosed with Brain Tumor

Golf Seve Ballesteros, two time Masters champion and three-time Open Championship winner, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor following a series of tests conducted after being placed in intensive care last week after suffering an epileptic fit.

The 51-year-old golfing legend was admitted to Madrid’s La Paz hospital on Oct. 6 after losing consciousness but on Friday he was released from intensive care and listed in stable condition.

A biopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

Ballesteros has remained positive about the outcome, declaring “Throughout my entire career I have been one of the best at overcoming obstacles on the golf course.”

He added, “And now I want to be the best, facing the most difficult game of my life, using all my strength and also counting on those who have been sending me get-well messages.”
