REDOUTE'S THE CHOICE FOR LEADING SIRE BY PRIZEMONEY

Racing Sportingbet Australia has installed champion sire Redoute’s Choice as a $1.80 favourite to be this season’s Leading Sire by Prizemoney.

Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said Redoute’s Choice already held a good lead in the table with several outstanding individuals sure to add plenty more stake money to the kitty.

“Redoute’s Choice is already holding a lead of $400,000 on Encosta De Lago,” said Sullivan.

“With Samantha Miss a top chance in the Cox Plate and plenty of other chances in the big races, he looks very hard to beat.”

Sullivan said that those interested in backing last year’s winner Encosta De Lago at $2.40 had plenty of top quality horses to add dollars to his tally.

“Princess Coup, Sirmione and Von Costa De Hero all shape as major players this Spring,” Sullivan said.

“If they fire Encosta De Lago could easily overtake the leader.”

Those punters looking for value selections could do far worse than putting their money on Any Other Individual Sire at $7.00 or Flying Spur, the winner from two seasons ago, at $15.00 with Sullivan outlining some compelling reasons.

“Sires such as Montjeu and Zabeel both fall into the Any Other category and are each well represented in the Melbourne Cup which is of course Australia’s richest race,” said Sullivan.

“While Flying Spur will come into his own when the big Autumn two year old races are run.”
