Bayliss wins World Title

Motor Racing Troy Bayliss won his third Superbike world title after finishing third at Magny-Cours in France overnight.

Bayliss, riding a Ducati, claimed the overall victory with the 14th and final round of the championship still to come in Portimao, Portugal, on November 2

The 39-year-old finished second in the first race to wrap up the title before kicking off the celebrations by taking the chequered flag in final


Japan's Noriyuki Haga, in second spot overall, cannot mathematically catch him.

The crown adds to Bayliss's world title success in 2001 and 2006.
