World Cup 2010 European Qualifier: Group Seven

Football The World Cup 2010 European Qualifying stages continue on October 11 with Group Seven heading into their third match and Lithuania holding a surprising three-point lead over the rest of the group.

Lithuania has built that three-point lead with a 3-0 win over Romania and a 2-0 win over Austria and on Oct. 11 they’ll look to take out Serbia who blanked the Faroe Islands 2-0 in their opener but fell 2-1 to France in their follow up.

France is sitting on three points as well after a surprising 3-1 loss to Austria in the opener before catching Serbia 2-1 in their second match. France will be facing Romania who has three points after dropping their opener to Lithuania and following that with a 1-0 win over Faroe Islands.

Faroe Islands will be looking for their first points of group play when they face Austria. Austria knocked off France in their first match but fell to Lithuania in the second match.
