World Cup 2010 European Qualifier: Group Six

Football The World Cup 2010 European Qualifying stages continue on October 11 with Group Six featuring a pair of matches that have the group’s top three countries in action. England holds a slight lead in the group with six points after two games and a goal differential of five while Ukraine is carrying six points with a goal differential of three.

England will look to boost their lead when they face Kazakhstan. England has picked up a pair of victories with a 2-0 blanking of Andorra in their first match and then an impressive 4-1 victory over Croatia. They’ll face off against Kazakhstan who sits on three points after three matches, their lone win coming against Andorra in their opener.

Keeping pace with England is the Ukraine whose six points have been totaled on wins over Belarus and Kazakhstan. They’ll certainly be tested on Oct. 11 as they face a desperate Croatia side who really wants a win after being embarrassed by England.
