Usain Bolt Returns to Track at Zurich Grand Prix

Track & Field Usain Bolt owned the track at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and he’ll be looking to do the same in Switzerland when he competes at the Zurich Grand Prix on Friday.

The 22-year-old Jamaican left fans, and his fellow sprinters, awe-struck in Beijing as he obliterated two world records in individual events and then a third world record in the 4x100m relay.

Bolt’s 9.69 100m world record was made even more amazing by the fat he had been running into a headwind and he let up at the end to celebrate. In his 200m performance Bolt was more business and broke Michael Johnson’s world record when he clocked a 19.3.

What’s got the sell-out crowd buzzing already is talk from Bolt’s coach that he could post a 9.5 in the 100m but the sprinter doesn’t appear too concerned with smashing a record he just set saying, “I'm just trying to get to the end of the season, injury-free, and go home and enjoy myself.”
