Romania’s Sandra Izbasa claimed the highest score in women’s floor exercise in gymnastics with a 15.650 on Sunday to claim the gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

American Shawn Johnson, silver medalist in the women’s all-around gymnastics, earned another silver medal with a score of 15.500 in the floor exercise.

Nastia Liukin of the United States claimed bronze with a score of 15.425 to go along with her all-around gold won last week.

North Korea’s Un Jong Hong Earns Surprise Gold in Women’s Vault in Gymnastics

Un Jong Hong of North Korea grabbed the gold in women’s vault in gymnastics on Sunday with a score of 15.650 at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Zou Kai Earns Gold with Dominant Floor Exercise in Men’s Gymnastics

Zou Kai put together a dominant exercise to claim gold in the men’s floor in gymnastics and his 16.050 easily earned him a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Spain’s Gervasio Deferr finished a surprising second to claim silver with a score of 15.775.

Russia’s Anton Golotsutskov narrowly missed silver and had to settle for bronze after scoring a 15.725 on the floor exercise.

China’s Xiao Qin Wins Gold in Men’s Pommel Horse in Gymnastics

China’s Xiao Qin claimed gold in the men’s pommel horse in gymnastics on Sunday at the 2008 Beijing Olympics with a score of 15.875.

Croatia’s Filip Ude earned a silver medal thanks in part to the difficulty of his routine as he scored a 15.725.

That 15.725 was the same score Great Britain’s Louis Smith earned but because his routine was not as difficult as Ude’s he earned the bronze.
