CARRERA CUP SECURES ANOTHER PREMIUM SPONSORSHIP

Motor Racing Carrera Cup Australia has enhanced its reputation as the premier sports car category in Australia by signing another premium sponsor in the lead up to Round Six of the Championship at Queensland Raceway this weekend.

Aunger, an Australian owned and operated company which has been servicing the automotive aftermarket for over 40 years, will sponsor the all-Porsche category as it supports the V8 Supercar Championship Series in Ipswich from July 18th-20th.

Aunger’s range of car accessories includes protective acrylic products such as weather shields, headlight covers and bonnet protectors, seat covers, floor mats, windscreen wipers, 4wd equipment and car care products.

Marketing Manager James Brown said Aunger’s sponsorship continued a proud company tradition dating back over 30 years.

“Aunger is proud to be partnering with Carrera Cup for the Queensland event and it continues a tradition of involvement in motorsport that dates back to the classic Aunger Wheels of the 1970's,” he said.

Carrera Cup CEO Theo Psaros said the Aunger deal highlighted the growing opportunities Carrera Cup provides its corporate partners.

“We are the primary support category to the V8 Supercar Championship Series which means we obtain large media penetration through our television package, press coverage and web site,” he said.

“What that means for our sponsors is we provide a cost-effective way of delivering a message to the marketplace and ensuring their brand is seen by scores of people.

“We are thrilled Aunger has recognised the enormous potential our category offers and we hope the partnership will continue beyond this weekend.”

Carrera Cup Australia begins its weekend assault on the Ipswich circuit with two practice sessions on Friday.

Qualifying and Race One follow, which Network Seven will broadcast at 3.30pm (check local guides) on Saturday, before Races Two and Three complete the weekend on Sunday.
