WBA World Super Middleweight Boxing Championship

Boxing Champion Anthony Mundine vs. Challenger Sam Soliman

In another important match for 2008, Main Event Television will televise the WBA world super middleweight boxing championship match between Champion Anthony "The Man" Mundine and challenger Sam "King" Soliman LIVE on Wednesday 28 May 2008 from 7:00pm AEST.

This boxing match is the third meeting between the two arch rivals. Mundine was given a controversial points decision over Soliman in September 2001. Mundine then won a 9th round knockout in March 2007.

Soliman restablished his career as a semi-finalist on Sugar Ray Leonard's The Contender reality boxing television series, which was watched by millions in hundreds of countries around the world.

33 year-old Anthony Mundine from Carss Park, NSW has 31 wins, 3 losses and 23 knockout victories.

34 year-old Sam Soliman from Melbourne, Victoria has 35 wins, 10 losses and 13 knockout victories.
