
Spain Whoops Russia 3-0, Advances to Euro 2008 Final

Spain defeats Russia handily on Thursday in a 3-0 win in the semifinals of the UEFA European Football Championship, also known as the Euro 2008.
Spain reached the European Championship final for the first time in 24 years on Thursday, setting up the epic battle against Germany in the Euro 2008 soccer finals.
Xavi scored the first goal for the Spanish national team in the 50th minute. Daniel Guiza followed with a goal in the 73rd minute, then David Silva in the 82nd minute.
Spain beat the Russian national team 4-1 in the group stage two weeks ago.
Spain will battle Germany, who is looking for their fourth Euro championship, on Sunday at 2:45 p.m. EST. The game will take place at Ernst Happel Stadon.
