Germany Gets Late Goal to Beat Turkey, Advances to Finals

Germany got a late goal from Philip Lahm to beat Turkey 3-2 and advance to the Euro 2008 finals where they will meet the winner of the Russia and Spain contest scheduled for Thursday.
Turkey jumped on the board in the 22nd minute when Ugur Boral found the back of the net but five minutes later Bastian Schweinsteiger scored the equalizer and the two sides went to half knotted at 1-1.
Germany then took the lead on a Miroslav Klose goal in the 79th minute and it appeared like that would be enough for the Germans but true to their Euro 2008 run Turkey managed to tie the score when Semih Senturk scored in the 86th minute.
Not to be outdone Germany continued to pressure Turkey and found the hole they were looking for when Lahm pounded one home for the winning goal.
Germany will now face the winner of Russia and Spain on Sunday for the Euro 2008 championship.
